More about the vision:

Over the last few years, I’ve met many creative people—writers, builders, artists, inventors.

They feel starved for inspiration and intellectual nourishment—for something that will sustain their creative energy, so they can channel it into everything they do.

What are some symptoms?

• Browsing Netflix for 20 minutes, then rewatching something you’ve already seen or watching nothing at all.

• Reading only the first 20 pages of a book, then dropping it for good.

• Doomscrolling on social media, even though you know you won’t get much out of it, because… at least it doesn't feel like a commitment.

If you’ve done any of these things, you’ve realized that the media surrounding you isn’t all that inspiring. 

In contrast—can you remember really sinking into a book, album, or movie? The experience energized you for days or weeks. You couldn’t stop thinking about it. You wanted to revisit it later. And it fed into your creative work.  🌞

Those experiences are so valuable, and so rare.

But they don’t have to be rare.

I’ve seen my team create those kinds of experiences for people in real time.

One thing we've learned: disposable digital formats, like blog posts and emails, tend not to create these experiences. We’re focused on things that last.

The vision for Muse By Mail is to package an experience that feeds the imaginative aspect of your mind—something that helps you go back into the world with renewed creativity, and greater conviction and enthusiasm.

Muse By Mail will ship quarterly. Every package will include one analog book, and one installment of a new publication we’re calling The Muse. The Muse will be focused on the creative journey. It will contain unusual pieces, including anonymous essays that the authors can’t publish online under their own names. 

More benefits will appear over the coming months. We’re going to build thoughtfully, with a focus on connecting creative people with each other in a fruitful way (i.e. a community of some kind).

The plan—at least for this first group—is to customize what’s in your Muse By Mail package (which book you get, among other things). We’ll curate based on what we know about you. If you sign up and we don’t know you yet, you’ll hear from us. We’ll ask questions and learn about you before we send you a package.

Muse By Mail costs $250 for the year (USA) or $300 international. We’re also accepting ETH and BTC; just email us to arrange your payment.
